Spalted Elm X-cut set - 3200501. You will not find many pens or pencils made with this wood, let alone a set. This set was made of two continuous pieces of cross-cut spalted elm. Spalted wood can be difficult to work with - cross-cut wood is difficult to work with. The combination of both of these characteristics made this set a challenge to make, but the results are fantastic as one can see in the pictures. The black spalting matches beautifully with the black enamel finish. Consider adding a gift box.
